Customer needs/background

"We want to make engine starting easier."
A starter cell motor and a lead battery are common in four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. On the other hand, string recoil starters were the norm for small ICEs used in agriculture. It was obvious that the weight of conventional batteries would be a burden on operators of agricultural machinery worn on the body or held in the hand. Therefore, development of lithium-ion battery cells and battery pack units, which are expected to be lightweight and have high output, was started."
